Unakite


These Mineral Nation Representatives were obtained from Lucky Crystal Gem Store (of Beijing, China).

Unakite (sometimes spelled Unikite) is an altered granite composed of pink orthoclase feldspar, green epidote, and generally colorless quartz. It exists in various shades of green and pink and is usually mottled in appearance. A good quality Unakite is considered a semiprecious stone, and will take a high gloss polish. As such it is often used in jewelry and other lapidary work. It is also referred to as Epidotized Granite. In some occurrences an epidotized augen gneiss is present exhibiting foliation structures. Unakite is a stone with gentle but powerful energy. It can assist one in finding one's animal guide. It is also a stone that is helpful for gardening. Unakite is also a good protection stone and brings unconditional love of humanity, connection and reunion. Unakite is considered to be very helpful for pregnancy and childbirth. It can help with healing of abandonment and separation issues. Unakite is said to benefit the heart, circulatory system, female reproductive system, male reproductive system (to a lesser extent), and ease pregnancy.
Unakite is associated primarily with the Third Eye Chakra,
but is sometimes associated with the Sacral and Heart Chakras.

Variscite

Variscite is a soothing stone. It is sometimes called a "true worry stone" because it eases fear, tension, anxiety, worry, and impatience. It also relieves stress and depression, and can give courage and inner strength. Variscite can help calm the mind and help it be still, which makes it an excellent stone for meditation. Variscite can be a benefit for intuition and psychic perceptions, and is excellent for past-life recall. Verdite is a stone that stimulates the energy centers/Chakras. It can assist the movement of Kundalini. Often, Verdite is used to access and assimilate ancient knowledge. Emotionally, Verdite brings consistency, stability, and fortitude. Physically Verdite is used for cleansing the blood, removing toxins, and genital disorders.

Vermeil

Vermeil is sterling silver coated with a heavy, more durable gold electroplating. The metaphysical properties lore combines the lore of both gold and silver including wealth, happiness, good feelings, intuition, removing negative energies, moon energies, and more.

White Fairy Quartz

Fairy Quartz is a fledgling Spirit Quartz, showing the milky white laser wand point and a light coating of smaller crystals growing on it. Wulfenite

Wulfenite is a crystal seen in reds to oranges to orange-yellow most often. As such, It is said to harmonize emotions and help get in touch with them. It is also a nice grounding stone. Wulfenite is used mystically to clear emotional blockages and get blocked energy of all kinds moving again. Wulfenite is also used in white magic rituals of all kinds, and is said to bring moving energy to this type of magic and is used for Spiritual journeying and communication with higher beings. Zebra Stone

Zebra Stone is a stone that can help us connect to mother earth and to the infinite energy and love in the universe. Zeolites

Zeolites are a family of minerals and related minerals, including apophyllite, chabazite, stilbite, heulandite, goosecreekite, laumonite, natrolite and others. Technically, zeolites are framework silicates with exchangeable cations and some of the minerals considered zeolites metaphysically do not strictly fit the technical criteria, but are like "cousins" with some metaphysical properties that are the same. In particular, zeolites are said to be extraordinarily helpful for absorbing and removing toxins, whether it be in the environment or in a person. In a person, this metaphysical aspect would make zeolites excellent healing stones, and they are often used in conjunction with Reiki. Zeolites are also said to be useful for agriculture or gardening, especially when they are buried in the field or garden. Zeolites are said to remove negative energy and replace it with happiness where the negative energy was. Mystical healing lore says that Zeolites are helpful for goiter, addictions, detoxification, and bloating. Each individual type of Zeolite also has its own unique metaphysical properties.

Zincite

Zincite in metaphysical lore is a stone of synthesis. It can bring together seeminly disparate or chaotic energies and synthesize them to work together well. It is particularly wellknown from Melody's books to synthesize energies of personal power, physical energy, and creativity. This makes it a powerful stone for boosting creative energies in a way that brings creations to fruition. It is often used to remove energy blockages, as well as being used in Radionics. Zincite can also synthesize groups of people or things, bringing together like-minded people and promoting their efforts as a group. Yellow zincite in particular can bring or boost a strong sense of one's own personal power and enable one to use it. Zincite is used in crystal healing lore to treat chronic fatigue, AIDS and other auto-immune problems, bronchitis, and candida, as well as prevention of epileptic seizure. Zincite is related to the lower Chakras.

Zircon

This gemstone takes its name from the Persia word zargun which was a compound of zar, gold, and gun, color.
It was well known in India and mentioned in the Hindu legend of the Kalpa Tree. This tree, which was given to the gods as a gift, was laden with fruit of various gemstones.
Its leaves were made of zircon.
This gemstone was popularly used by the Assyrians.
During the classical period of Rome and the Middle Ages, yellow zircon was favored.
Zircon did not become popular again in Europe until the 1920s.
The colorless zircon is so brilliant that it was used widely as a substitute for diamond.
These have sometimes been called Matura diamond. Zircon is frequently confused with zirconia which is a lab-grown diamond imitation.
Types of zircon include hyacinth and jacinth, both of which were mentioned in The Bible.
The blue variety called "starlight" is created by heating yellow zircon.
Since the Middle Ages, zircon has been believed to aid in spiritual growth and to promote prosperity and wisdom.
This gemstone is also instrumental in finding beauty and peace.
Zircon is relegated to the Crown Chakra.

Zoisite

Zoisite belongs to the Epidote group of minerals. It is named after the Slovene scientist Baron Sigmund Zois von Edelstein (Žiga Zois), who realized that this was an unknown mineral when it was brought to him by the mineral dealer Simon Prešern, who had discovered it in the Saualpe mountains (Svinška planina) of Carinthia in 1805. Zoisite was first known as Saualpite, after its locality.

Zoisite occurs as prismatic, orthorhombic crystals or in a more massive form, when it is found in metamorphic and pegmatitic rock. Zoisite may be blue, brown, gray. green, pink, violet, yellow or even colorless. It has a vitreous luster and a conchoidal to uneven fracture. When euhedral, zoisite crystals are striated parallel to the principal axis (c-axis). Also parallel to the principal axis is one direction of perfect cleavage. Zoisite is higher than a 6 in hardness and its specific gravity ranges between 3.10 and 3.38, depending on the variety. Zoisite streaks white and is said to be brittle. Clinozoisite is a more common monoclinic polymorph of zoisite. Sources of Zoisite include Tanzania (Tanzanite (blue or purple)), Kenya (Anyolite(aka Ruby in Zoisite)), Norway (Thulite(aka Rosaline (pink))), Switzerland, Austria, India, Pakistan, and Washington in the USA.
